Trialist Starts for U21s at Palace - Ipswich Town News
Town have included trialist Pat Webber in their U21 side facing Crystal Palace in this afternoon’s Professional Development League Two South fixture being played behind closed doors at their Beckenham training ground (KO 1pm).
Defender Webber is one of two players on trial from Ryman League Premier Division Worthing along with midfielder Mike Waller. Webber started Saturday’s 2-0 U18s victory over Brentford, while Waller came off the bench.
With the first team in action at home to Championship leaders Hull City this evening there are no senior players involved.
Meanwhile, Blues second-year scholar Sam Ford, 17, scored for West Ham’s U21s as they drew 1-1 at Wolves. Striker Ford previously played and scored in a trial game for the Hammers’ U18s.
U21s: Marsden, Emmanuel, Webber, Dozzell, Fowler, C Smith, Hammond, McDonnell, McLoughlin, Blanchfield, McKendry. Subs: Morris, Wright, Woolfenden, Guldbrandsen.
