U21s Lose at Palace - Ipswich Town News

A very young Town U21 side was beaten 2-1 by Crystal Palace at their Beckenham training ground this afternoon, Kyle Hammond (pictured) netting the Blues’ goal.

Randell Williams put the home side in front in the sixth minute but Hammond converted after Andre Dozzell had squared to make it 1-1 at the break. However, Corie Andrews sealed the win for the Eagles with the second half's only goal.

Town included trialist Pat Webber in their side, the defender one of two players on trial from Ryman League Premier Division Worthing, along with midfielder Mike Waller.

Webber started Saturday’s U18s victory over Brentford, while Waller came off the bench.

U21s: Marsden, Emmanuel, Fowler, C Smith, Webber, Hammond, Dozzell, McDonnell, McKendry (Morris 62), McLoughlin, Blanchfield (Guldbrandsen 62). Unused: Wright, Woolfenden.
