AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says there’s “no guarantee” that on-loan winger Ryan Fraser will return to the Blues before the end of the season.
The Scotland U21 international, on loan with Town for the season, is currently back at Dean Court as he undergoes his rehab for the hamstring injury he suffered at QPR last month.
"Ryan came back to us for treatment,” Howe told the Bournemouth Echo. "He had a little niggle about a week ago so I wouldn’t say he was close to returning to Ipswich.”
Regarding a time frame for the 22-year-old to go back to the Blues, Howe added: "There is no time frame at the moment. We would hope to get him back there before the end of the season but there is no guarantee.”
Speaking this afternoon, Town boss Mick McCarthy was more positive about the prospect of Fraser rejoining Town.
"I spoke to Ryan Fraser in the week,” he said. "He’d been training, I think he just felt it slightly.
"I think in all honesty the timeline for him, hopefully, will see him maybe getting on the bus for Wolves. It would be brilliant if he could. That would be four weeks’ time.”
