Finland Again for Town - Ipswich Town News
It looks like another Scandinavian trip for the Blues this pre-season with Finnish club IFK Mariehamn advertising a fixture between themselves and Town for July 16th.
Other Scandinavian reports indicate a three-day trip from the 15th to the 17th July.
IFK Mariehamn come from the Finnish run Ã…land islands which are Swedish-speaking islands in the Baltic between Sweden and Finland.
Last year Finnish and Estonian sources were advertising Town's pre-season dates months before the Blues' officially announced them, despite a number of denials from Town.
In the unlikely event that Town qualify for the Intertoto Cup these dates may be subject to change. George Burley says he would enter his side into the Intertoto at the third round stage. For this to happen they would have to finish at least 11th.
