McCarthy Confirms Morphew to Play for U21s - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed that Needham Market defender Keiran Morphew is back training with the Blues and will feature for the U21s in Monday’s game against Nottingham Forest at Portman Road (KO 7pm).
"He’s all right, Keiran, he’s going to play on Monday,” McCarthy confirmed, the 22-year-old’s trial with Town having been put on hold when he suffered a groin injury.
Morphew, who was back at Playford Road this morning training alongside the Blues squad, impressed McCarthy in his previous trial match, a 1-0 U21s win against QPR at the start of February: "He played very well in his first game for us.”
