McGoldrick Returns to Action in U21s - Ipswich Town News

Town have confirmed that striker David McGoldrick will return to action for the U21s when they take on his old club Nottingham Forest at Portman Road this evening (KO 7pm).

McGoldrick, 28, has been out of action since mid-December having suffered a 90 per cent tear to his hamstring.

"Didz has worked really hard to get back and he will be involved for the U21s tonight,” manager Mick McCarthy told the club site.

"If he comes through that OK then hopefully he will be on the bus with us for the Wolves game after the international break.”

McGoldrick has made only eight starts and 11 sub appearances this season, scoring three goals.

Also set to be involved this evening is Needham Market defender Keiran Morphew, who has been back on trial at the club in the last few days.

Admittance - to the Cobbold Stand only - is free for season ticket holders with tickets otherwise priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
