Maitland-Niles and Yorwerth Win Caps - Ipswich Town News
Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Josh Yorwerth won caps with the England U19s and Wales U21s respectively this afternoon.
On-loan Arsenal winger Maitland-Niles played the full 90 minutes as the Young Lions beat hosts Spain 2-0 to secure top spot in the group and qualify for the Euro 2016 finals in Germany in July.
The 18-year-old, who picked up a yellow card with 10 minutes remaining, was winning his seventh U19s cap.
Yorwerth, who is on loan for the remainder of the season at Crawley, played the full 90 minutes and won his seventh cap for the Wales U21s as they lost 2-1 in Romania in a Euro 2017 qualifier.
Blues keeper Michael Crowe was an unused sub for the team coached by former Blues midfielder Geraint Williams.
Elsewhere, Town keeper Jon Henly was an unused sub as Scotland’s U21s beat Northern Ireland 3-1 in Paisley.
Meanwhile, both Andre Dozzell and Ben Morris start for the England U17s in their final Euro 2016 qualifying group game against Ukraine at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium this evening.
