Henshall Joins Kilmarnock - Ipswich Town News
Former Blues winger Alex Henshall has joined Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock on a short-term deal until the summer, having left Portman Road in January.
Henshall, 22, made one Capital One Cup start and four Championship sub appearances for Town having signed initially on loan from Manchester City in April 2014 before making the switch permanent during that summer following his release by the Premier League side.
The one-time Swindon Town youngster was left out of the first-team squad in the summer and made available for transfer before settling his contract at the end of January.
Henshall said: "Playing in the Scottish Premier League is an exciting opportunity for me. I’ve just finished my first training session with Kilmarnock and am excited about joining the team.”
Killie manager Lee Clark, who previously signed the wideman on loan from the Blues while Blackpool manager, added: "Having worked with [fellow new signing] Miles [Addision] and Alex before, I know their strengths and know they will make a positive contribution to the club.”
