Five Changes at Sheffield Wednesday - Ipswich Town News

The Town side features five changes ahead of this afternoon's crunch game at Sheffield Wednesday with David McGoldrick making his first start since October and Kevin Bru, Jonathan Douglas, Liam Feeney and Tommy Smith all returning to the team.

Luke Varney (hamstring) and Cole Skuse drop out through injury and Luke Hyam as he’s suspended, while Ben Pringle moves to the bench and Ainsley Maitland-Niles is left out of the 18.

Andre Dozzell is amongst the senior subs for a second time, alongside fellow youngsters Adam McDonnell and Myles Kenlock.

The Blues could line-up in a variety of ways but may start in a 4-3-3 formation with Kevin Foley and Douglas taking up the deep midfield roles and McGoldrick, Feeney and Freddie Sears making up the front three.

Sheffield Wednesday: Westwood, Hunt, Loovens, Lees, Pudil, Wallace, Bannan, Lopez, Lee, Joao, Forestieri. Subs: Wildsmith, Sasso, Bennett, McGugan, Matias, Hooper, Nuhiu.

Town: Bialkowski, Chambers, Smith, Berra, Knudsen, Douglas, Bru, Foley, Feeney, Sears, McGoldrick. Subs: Gerken, Digby, Kenlock, McDonnell, Dozzell, Pringle, Pitman. Referee: Robert Madley (West Yorkshire).
