Andre Dozzell was speechless after scoring on his Blues debut aged only 16, just as his father Jason did when he made his senior bow back in 1984.
Dozzell junior flicked home a header from a Liam Feeney cross as Town drew 1-1 at Sheffield Wednesday aged 16 years and 350 days.
Jason, who remains the youngest player to score in the top flight, netted on his debut, also having come on as a substitute, aged only 16 years and 57 days as the Blues beat Coventry 3-1 in the old First Division in February 1984.
"I’m a bit speechless right now,” former Copleston High School pupil Andre told the club site.
"When I scored I really didn’t know what to do but I’ve been at this club for seven years so to make my debut and get a goal was unbelievable.

"It’s exactly what my dad did as well, made his debut and scored at 16, so I’m extremely proud of that.
"I haven’t managed to look at my phone yet but I’m sure I’ll have a few messages from everyone.

"My dad was here today in the crowd so hopefully I’ll see him afterwards and hopefully he’ll be proud of me.
"It was my goal at the start of the season to break into the first team, so to get my chance and to score was a moment I won’t forget.”
