Bishop on Target But U21s Lose to Blades - Ipswich Town News

Teddy Bishop played his first full 90 minutes in more than a year and scored but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Blues U21s from falling to a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this afternoon.

Town were already behind to first-half goals scored by Alex O'Hanlon and Jamie McDonagh by the time Bishop, who is continuing his comeback from injury, prodded home at the far post from a freekick on the hour mark.

In injury time keeper Michael Crowe saved a penalty from Diego De Girolamo, having brought down the Blades’ forward himself.

U21s: Crowe, Woolfenden, Fowler, C Smith, Robinson, McKendry, Benyu, Bishop, Blanchfield, Patterson, McLoughlin. Subs: Marsden, Morris, Downes, Jones.
