Wickham and Delaney Help Palace to FA Cup Final - Ipswich Town News

Former Town striker Connor Wickham scored the winning goal as a Crystal Palace side also featuring ex-Blues centre-half Damien Delaney beat Watford 2-1 in this afternoon's second FA Cup semi-final at Wembley to reach the final.

Town academy product Wickham netted a header in the 61st minute, Yannick Bolasie having put the Eagles ahead on six, Delaney claiming an assist with a flick, before Troy Deeney equalised for the Hornets 10 minutes after the break.

Palace will face Manchester United in a repeat of the 1990 final at Wembley on Saturday 21st May.

Meanwhile, Town academy schoolboy Dylan Crowe played the first 62 minutes for the England U15s as they beat Italy 3-2 in their opening game at the Torneo delle Nazioni in Gradisca D’Isonzo earlier this evening.

England face Russia and Qatar in their two other group games as they look to reach the semi-final and then final.
