Town Hosting U17s Tournament at Playford Road - Ipswich Town News

Town are staging a four-team U17s tournament at their Playford Road training ground on Friday and Saturday with Norwich, Liverpool and Brentford the other sides taking part.

The competition is a round-robin tournament of 45-minute games with the top two teams then playing a final.

The Blues face Liverpool in their opening match at 6pm on Friday and then East Anglian rivals Norwich City at 7pm that evening before their final group game against the Bees at 11am on Saturday. The final and third-place play-off matches kick-off at 12.15pm. Entry is free but there will be no on-site parking.

Meanwhile, Town have announced that they will unveil their new kits for the 2016/17 season on Friday. The new home strip is rumoured to include blue rather than the usual white shorts.
