Escape to Victory Screening Postponed - Ipswich Town News
The screening of Escape to Victory scheduled to take place at Portman Road on Saturday 21st May has been postponed “due to licensing issues”.
The event was organised to mark the 35th anniversary of the 1981 film, which featured a number of Town players, including John Wark, Russell Osman, Kevin Beattie and Kevin O’Callaghan, alongside the likes of Michael Caine and Sylvester Stallone.
Town were collaborating with Pop Up Pictures to show the movie, which was due to be preceded by a VIP dinner.
A statement on the ticket booking page on ITFC Direct states: "Unfortunately, due to licensing issues, we are obliged to postpone this event until further notice.
"We will be contacting all bookers individually via phone or email. Further information will be confirmed in due course.
"Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused, thank you for your support and understanding.”
