Available-for-transfer Town defender Piotr Malarczyk isn’t ruling out a return to his current loan club Southend United next season.
The 24-year-old Pole has failed to make an impact since joining the Blues from his hometown side Korona Kielce where he was skipper in August, making just three cup starts and three Championship sub appearances, and has been told he can find a new club over the summer.
Malarczyk moved to the Shrimpers, who are 14th in League One, in March and made his debut in last week’s 1-0 defeat at home to Bradford.
"I would be open to coming back here but I haven’t spoken to the manager so I will need to see what happens because I want to be playing regularly wherever I go,” Malarczyk told the Southend Echo.
"I think I will try and go on loan again next season because I want to be playing.
"This has been my first year in England and at times the differences have been quite big. But I will try to find something next year which means I can play more.”
The centre-half says he’s enjoyed his spell at Roots Hall: "I really liked my time here. I would like to have played more but I played the last game and hopefully I can play on Sunday [against Bury at Gigg Lane], too. We hope to get the win.”
