Town Confirm Hyam Signs New Deal - Ipswich Town News

Town have confirmed that midfielder Luke Hyam has signed a new two-year deal through to the summer of 2018 with an option for a further season, as revealed by TWTD yesterday.

As previously reported, the club and Hyam initially failed to agree new terms but the player accepted a revised offer towards the end of last month, the Blues having already activated an option for another season in his previous contract.

Hyam came through Town academy and having made his debut at Middlesbrough on the opening day of the 2010/11 campaign has now made 114 starts and 17 sub appearances, scoring three goals.

The former Northgate High School pupil missed the early part of 2014/15 having undergone knee surgery but, having spent a month on loan at Rotherham, returned to the side just after Christmas and went on to make 11 starts and six sub appearances.
