Matteo Sereni, on the bench for today's match with Chelsea, missed out due to a thigh strain. The keeper would have had difficulty kicking and so was replaced with Andy Marshall.
Jermaine Wright was also on the sidelines with injury. The midfielder failed a fitness test after aggravating his long-term groin injury at West Ham on Saturday.
