Shelbourne Confirm Blues Friendly - Ipswich Town News

Shelbourne have confirmed that Town will be making their annual visit to Tolka Park to take on the Airtricity League First Division club in a pre-season friendly on Saturday 9th July (KO 3pm).

A game against the Dublin side has become regular fixture in the Blues’ pre-season preparations under Mick McCarthy following on from the squad spending a week training at the Carton House Hotel in County Kildare.

Town won last summer's match 6-0 with Brett Pitman scoring twice and Alex Henshall, Darren Ambrose, Cole Skuse and Jay Tabb once each.

In 2014 the Blues beat Shels 4-0 with the match the season before ending 2-0 to Town.

Midfielder Adam McDonnell will be facing his hometown club from whom he joined the Blues in the summer of 2014.
