Hermann on 'Cup Final' - Ipswich Town News

Town defender Hermann Hreidarson says that the Blues trip to Bolton for their crucial relegation six-pointer at the Reebok Stadium is a cup final.

Hreidarsson is probably more desperate than most to avoid relegation as he has previously been involved with Crystal Palace and Wimbledon as they have dropped into the Nationwide.

Hreidarsson said: "Our game at Bolton on Saturday will be a bit of a cup final. It's a massive, massive game for us.

"The display against Chelsea is a boost for us ahead of it, although we did not get the win we so badly needed. But we kept it tight, maintained the pressure and everyone battled really hard.

"The relegation issue is wide open. There are five games to go and, while disappointed at not getting three points against Chelsea, we can take heart from a much-improved display.

"The big crowd were fantastic and really got behind us. Hopefully we can reward them with some wins, starting at Bolton on Saturday."
