Author Dave Ablitt still has copies of his book Howda Towan Git On? available ahead of Father’s Day, which is a week on Sunday.
Dave told TWTD what Howda Towan Git On?, which was published in November, is all about.
"The book is semi-autobiographical, about how I became an Ipswich fan at a very young age and how ITFC totally dominated my life up until I left school and had to take on some responsibility,” he said.
"There is lots of information about the ups and down of 'the Towan' from winning the Second Division championship in 1961 right up until they won it again in 1968.”
Ray Crawford, who features heavily in the book, wrote the foreword, while Dave has so far donated £2,500 to various causes, including the Town academy.
Copies of Howda Towan Git On? can be purchased from publishers Imagine here for £10 plus postage and packing or from Dave, who can be contacted via email.
