Ex-Blues in Pro-Celebrity Charity Match Action - Ipswich Town News

Former Blues Titus Bramble and Darren Ambrose, ex-Canary Ruel Fox and one-time Leeds and Chelsea defender Michael Duberry will be amongst the former players taking part in a pro-celebrity charity match in aid of the Jude Brady Foundation at Woodbridge Town's Notcutts Park on Saturday 30th July (KO 1pm).

Along with the ex-players, celebrities including Leo the Lion from The Voice, DJ Spoony, DJ Pied Piper, Andy Taylor from X Factor and former Hollyoaks star Paul Danan will also be involved in the game played between Team Jude and Celeb FC, as well as members of the public paying to play. If you want to play, email nicola@judebradyfoundation.co.uk for information.

Gates will open at 11.30am with activities away from the pitch set to include a disco dome bouncy castle, a barbecue and an ice cream van, as well as the opportunity to have photos taken with the stars and collect autographs. Wayne Bavin of Town 102 will provide commentary on the match.

Former England women’s international Nicky Heffernan and ex-Bolton Wanderers striker Dean Holdsworth will also be in attendance as representatives of an investment firm Sports Shield, who are sponsoring the match alongside Gotelee & Goldsmith Solicitors. Linda Lambert from Storage Hunters is also attending the match along with her Celeb FC friends.

The Jude Brady Foundation was established in memory of Peter and Lynn Brady's second son Jude, who was stillborn in 2006, to raise awareness of stillbirth and neonatal death and funds for child-related good causes in the UK.

Tickets on the gate will be £10 per adult and £5 per child, except under-8s, who will be admitted for free. Advance tickets — including a £20 family ticket - are on sale now at reduced prices via Eventbrite.

An after party is also planned at Aqua Eight that evening with TesJay Promotions putting on a special Beatboxx charity night with special guests MC Rankin, MC Bushkin and DJ Slamma (Heartless Crew). Entry is £10 on the door.
