Webster Could Feature in Cambridge Friendly - Ipswich Town News
New signing Adam Webster is expected to be back in full training next week and could make his first appearance in a Town shirt in the friendly at Cambridge United on Saturday 23rd July (KO 3pm).
Webster, 21, who joined the Blues in a swap deal which saw Matt Clarke and £700,000 move to Portsmouth, suffered an ankle injury towards the end of Pompey’s 2015/16 and missed out on their play-off semi-final defeat to Plymouth.
"Adam is busting a gut to get going,” Blues boss Mick McCarthy told the club site. "He has been out on the grass, running, jumping, heading balls and that means landing on his feet, testing his ankle and he has been fine.
"He will be working with Lids [fitness coach Andy Liddell] tomorrow and he should be training fully next Monday.”
