Different XI in Each Half at Barnet - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Mick McCarthy has again named different sides for each half of this evening’s pre-season friendly at Barnet (KO 8pm). The two XIs are a mix of senior and fringe players.

Absent are strikers Daryl Murphy, who only returned to pre-season training yesterday, and David McGoldrick, who has a hip flexor problem, along with new signing Adam Webster, who should be back from his ankle injury for the Cambridge game on Saturday 23rd July.

Myles Kenlock also ought to be back from his ankle injury for the visit to the Abbey Stadium, while Giles Coke should be back at the start of the season having undergone knee surgery at the end of the last campaign.

First-half team: Bialkowski, Emmanuel, Knudsen, Douglas, Malarczyk, Berra, Bishop, Bru, Sears, McLoughlin, McDonnell.

Second-half team: Gerken, Chambers, Digby, T Smith, Robinson, Blanchfield, Skuse, Hyam, Stewart, Pitman, Dozzell. Subs: Morris, Fowler, C Smith, Paterson.
