Webster Makes First Start at Cambridge, McGoldrick on Bench - Ipswich Town News

Adam Webster makes his first start in a Town shirt in this afternoon’s friendly at Cambridge, while David McGoldrick is on the bench having recovered from his hip injury.

Manager Mick McCarthy has named a team largely made up of the players who came on for the final half hour or so at Colchester on Wednesday.

Keeper Dean Gerken, who would have been on the bench having played the full 90 minutes at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, misses out with a hamstring problem and Michael Crowe takes his place.

Adam McDonnell misses out with a knee problem suffered in training.

Second-year scholar Flynn Downes and first-year Tristan Nydam, both midfielders, are also included as cover with the U21s having been in action at Coggeshall last night.
