TWTD understands that Town's move for Tottenham midfielder Grant Ward is a permanent deal rather than a loan, despite the 21-year-old having signed a new contract at White Hart Lane in February. Earlier, TWTD revealed that Ward is the player the Blues are hoping to sign today.
The Blues are believed to be set to pay the Premier League club £500,000 for the Lewisham-born wideman or central midfielder.
Ward joined the Spurs academy as a 10-year-old but hasn't made a senior appearance for the Premier League club. He spent time on loan with the Chicago Fire in 2014 and Coventry City a year later.
Last season he made 35 starts and eight sub appearances while on loan with Rotherham in the Championship, scoring twice.
