U21s Start Season at Sheffield United, U18s at Home to Barnsley - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U21s will get their 2016/17 Professional Development League Two South season under way with an away game at Sheffield United on Monday 15th August, while the U18s, like the first team, begin their campaign with a home game against Barnsley.

The U21s, now coached by Gerard Nash following Mark Kennedy’s departure to join Manchester City over the summer, will travel to Stocksbridge Park Steels’ Look Local Stadium to take on the Blades with a 1pm kick-off. They face Birmingham in their first home game a week later.

The full fixture list can be found here, although as ever it is likely to be subject to amendments as the season progresses.

The U18s, who are currently in Holland following their excellent performance at the Liverpool FC Football Cup at the weekend, face the Tykes at Playford Road in their first Professional Development League Two South match on Saturday 13th August (probable KO 11am).

A full fixture list for the side which will be coached by Alan Lee and Chris Hogg this season can be found here.
