U15s Win Opener at Galway Cup - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U15s beat a Republic of Ireland Development Squad 2-0 in their opening game at the Galway Cup earlier this evening.
A Henry Barley cross was turned into his own net by an Ireland defender after 10 minutes and George Clayton-Leek doubled the lead in the second half.
The U15s, whose trip has been sponsored by Source One Ltd, Office Angels and David Moat, face Leeds United in their second match tomorrow afternoon, then Dublin side Cherry Orchard on Friday with the finals and play-off games on Saturday.
Town are regulars at the tournament, which is staged at the Salthill Devon club, taking part in the Elite U15s competition which they won in 2007.
