Grant Pleased Loan Deal Finally Confirmed - Ipswich Town News

New loanee Conor Grant says his move to the Blues has been ongoing for some while and is pleased that it’s finally been confirmed. The 21-year-old has joined Town for the season from Everton, with whom he signed a new two-year contract last month.

"It’s been in the pipeline for a while now,” Grant told Ipswich Player HD. "I was just waiting on a few things to be sorted out and it got finalised in the week, so I’m really happy to be here.

"I had heard snippets [about a move] for a while, and I’m thankful to the manager for being able to bring me here.

"We had a good training session today and I’ve been welcomed very well by the lads. We’ve trained well and I’m just looking forward to getting going now.”

Grant, who will wear the number 28 shirt while with the Blues, will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s opening Championship game of the season at home to Barnsley.
