Town have announced that they have made an offer of £500,000 for Crewe midfielder Jermaine Wright. George Burley and David Sheepshanks met with the 24 year old former Wolves player prior to last night's game with St Albans. Wright will be having talks with Nottingham Forest today before deciding which of the two clubs he will join.
Town won last night's friendly at St Albans 3-0 with goals from Sean Friars (16), Richard Naylor (46) and Stuart Niven (67). Magilton, Holland and Bramble were all absentees through injury. Holland has the ankle problem acquired at the end of last season that is yet to heal, Bramble also has an ankle problem and Magilton has a thigh injury.
