Saturday's Opening U18s Game Moves - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U18s will get their Professional Development League Two South season under way a week late with Saturday’s scheduled home game against Barnsley having moved to Saturday 24th September.

The Blues’ youngsters, who this season are coached by Alan Lee and Chris Hogg, have spent the last week or so in Holland, based at ADO Den Haag, and played two games, a 3-2 loss to their hosts and a 1-0 defeat at AZ Alkmaar.

The opening match of their season proper will now be next Saturday’s away game at Nottingham Forest.

Meanwhile, former Town youngster Victor Guldbrandsen has joined HB Køge back in his home country Denmark on a one-year deal after a trial. The 19-year-old midfielder was released by the Blues at the end of last season.
