Atkinson Inquest Opens - Ipswich Town News

The coroner is due to open the inquest into the death of former Town striker Dalian Atkinson at Shirehall in Shrewsbury later today.

Atkinson died after going into cardiac arrest having been Tasered by police in Telford, Shropshire on Monday 15th August.

The 48-year-old’s death was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), which has put two officers from the West Mercia force under criminal investigation and served them with gross misconduct notices.
