Grant to Miss Preston - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Conor Grant will miss Saturday’s home game against Preston North End, manager Mick McCarthy has confirmed.
"It’s a bit soon for him, he’s been out training, not with the team with the physios and they were really pleased with him, but they just think it’s a bit too soon to be involved for Saturday,” he said.
"Bearing in mind I’ve got the team that can play anyway and we haven’t got a game for two weeks, it would be ridiculous if we rushed him back and he was out for two weeks again. No, he won’t be available.”
The Town boss says he has no new injury concerns: "Everybody’s fine, they’re all in good shape. We’ve no injuries from the Norwich game.”
David McGoldrick (ankle), Luke Hyam (knee) and Giles Coke (knee) remain on the sidelines.
