Keeper Marsden Joins Leiston on Loan - Ipswich Town News
Young Town keeper Jacob Marsden has joined Ryman League Premier Division leaders Leiston on a youth loan until January.
The 19-year-old signed a one-year deal with an option for a further season with the Blues in the summer having come through the academy.
Leiston boss Glenn Driver told the Victory Road club’s website: "I'm pleased to announce the signing of Ipswich Town keeper Jacob Marsden until January.
"With Nick [Eyre] needing an operation on his injured shoulder we have been able to sign a very good young professional keeper from Ipswich Town.
"After a meeting with Mick McCarthy it was agreed Jacob could sign until the New Year.
"Although it is disappointing to lose Nick I'm pleased to get Jacob here with us and he will prove to be a great addition and he goes straight into the squad for the Met Police game [at home on Saturday].”
