CHAPS Men’s Health Day at Portman Road - Ipswich Town News

Portman Road is hosting a CHAPS Men’s Health Day on Thursday 3rd November with all men invited along for free screening checks.

CHAPS is a registered charity which raises awareness of men’s health issues and runs men’s health screening events which detect underlying problems at an early, curable stage. It is no exaggeration to say that their events save lives.

Tests at Portman Road will include diabetes, skin and prostate cancer, heart disease, aortic aneurysm, hearing, and physio and sports injury. The checks are free, although a donation of £10 is invited to help offset the expense for the charity.

The event runs from 10am to 4pm with registration for morning appointments starting at 9.30am (entrance via gate 17). Afternoon appointments (1pm - 4pm) can be pre-booked here, by emailing trish.binks@chaps.uk.com or by calling 07734 747854.

A charity quiz involving ITFC legends will take place in the evening in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite, as well as a silent auction and a raffle.

Teams of up to six can compete at a cost of £20 (includes chilli con carne or a vegetarian option). To register a team contact trish.binks@chaps.uk.com by email or ring 07734 747854. The closing date to register is October 27th. More information can be found on the CHAPS website.
