U23s in Premier League Cup Action Against West Brom - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U23s are in action against West Brom in the Premier League Cup at Portman Road this evening with Andre Dozzell set to be among the starters (KO 7pm).
Gerard Nash’s side, who won 2-1 at Watford in the Professional Development League Two South on Monday, lost their opening match in the group stages of the competition 3-0 at home to Liverpool last month.
The Premier League Cup emulates the format of the Champions League with 32 teams involved in the group stage and the top two in each going through to the last 16. From there the ties will be one-off, knockout games with extra-time and penalties if required.
Admission to the Cobbold Stand only costs £3 for adults and £1 for senior citizens/NUS/under-20s, while under-16s and season ticket holders can get in for free.
