Dozzell Wins Cap as Sub - Ipswich Town News

Blues midfielder Andre Dozzell came on as a second-half sub as the England U18s drew 0-0 with France in a friendly at Peterborough’s London Road with the French winning a penalty shoot-out which followed the 90 minutes 5-4.

The Young Lions won the mini-tournament having beaten Poland 2-0 in their opening game on Thursday when Dozzell played the full game. The 17-year-old has now won six caps at U18 level.

Meanwhile, academy first-year scholar Corrie Ndaba has been away with the Irish U18s and played the first 58 minutes of a 3-2 friendly defeat to Germany in Cambrils, Spain yesterday, having been an unused sub as they drew 0-0 with Holland on Friday.

Central defender or midfielder Ndaba, who is from Dublin and was previously with the famous Cherry Orchard club, recently received international clearance and made his Town U23s debut in the Premier League Cup victory over West Brom.
