Atkinson's Funeral to Be Held on Saturday - Ipswich Town News
The funeral of ex-Town striker Dalian Atkinson, who died having been shot with a police Taser in August, takes place this Saturday in Telford.
A service is being held at Telford Crematorium chapel at 11.30am on Saturday morning with a private interment at Hadley Cemetery following.
Atkinson died in hospital after going into cardiac arrest having been shot with a police Taser after officers were called to an incident in Meadow Road in the Trench area of Telford in the early hours of Monday 15th August.
The 48-year-old’s death is under investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), which put two officers from the West Mercia force under criminal investigation and served them with gross misconduct notices.
