U18s Continue Winning Run Against U's - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U18s beat Colchester United 3-1 at Playford Road on Saturday morning to extend their Professional Development League Two South winning run to three games with Ben Folami netting twice and Conor McKendry (pictured) once.

Australian striker Folami, who joined the academy earlier in the season, converted a penalty he had won himself late on in the first half.

The U’s pulled one back on the hour mark but Northern Irishman McKendry quickly restored the Blues' lead before Folami sealed the three points with his second.

Alan Lee’s side featured 15-year-old Kian Ronan, who has already won international caps for Gibraltar at U17 level. The Harlow-based right-back qualifies for the British Overseas Territory via his late grandfather.
