Patterson and Robinson Extend Loans - Ipswich Town News

Youngsters Monty Patterson and Joe Robinson will remain on loan with Braintree and Boston respectively for the remainder of the year.

Striker or midfielder Patterson has been with the Vanarama National League Iron for the last month, making three starts and one sub appearance, scoring once.

The 19-year-old New Zealand international, the first player to win a full cap while with Braintree, will hope to feature in Sunday’s FA Cup second round tie at Millwall.

Robinson, 20, joined the Pilgrims, who play in the Vanarama National League North, in August and has made 15 appearances, scoring one goal.

"It’s an opportunity for them to get first-team football every week in games that really count,” boss Mick McCarthy told the club site.

"That is what Joe and Monty need now. They are getting more out of that than playing U23s football here.”
