Town in Bent Bid - Ipswich Town News
George Burley has revealed that the Blues tried to call Darren Bent back from international duty with the England U19s. The striker scored the U19s goal on Wednesday night as they drew 1-1 in Lithuania.
The second leg of that play-off is on Sunday, at Nottingham Forest's City Ground (KO 3pm), and Burley feels that U19s coach Martin Hunter won't let Bent return: "I spoke to the England coach Martin Hunter about the possibility of including Darren for our trip to Highbury but as the game finished in a draw it is unlikely that Darren will be released."
