Chambers: Chance to Put a Run Together - Ipswich Town News
Skipper Luke Chambers hopes the Blues can build on last Saturday’s 3-2 win at Wigan and put a run of results together over the Christmas period.
Town, who are 15th, nine points off the play-offs and eight from the bottom three and still to record back-to-back wins this season, are next in action at home to Fulham on Boxing Day with Bristol City visiting Portman Road on Friday 30th December.
"We are in a bit of no-man's land at the minute which has been down to our inconsistency of results,” Chambers told the club site.
"We haven't been able to put a real run of results together yet but we have a chance to do exactly that now and that's what we will be aiming to do.
"Christmas is always a time where you can pick up a lot of points during a relatively short space of time as there are so many games, and that's exactly what we need to do.”
The visits by Fulham and Bristol City are followed by a trip to QPR on Monday 2nd January, then the FA Cup third round tie against Lincoln City at Portman Road on Saturday 7th January.
