Wolves Linked With Town Skipper - Ipswich Town News
Wolves are reportedly weighing up a January bid for Town skipper Luke Chambers.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the Molineux club are considering a move for the 31-year-old as they look to bolster their squad.
Chambers, it’s reported, would be available for a bargain price as he is out of contract in the summer.
However, while the deal the centre-half or full-back signed in October 2014 does run to the end of June this year it includes an option for the club to extend it for a further season.
Chambers has been a fixture in the Town side since joining the Blues in the summer of 2012 and was made club captain by Mick McCarthy following Carlos Edwards’s departure at the end of 2013/14.
The transfer window opens today with the Blues closing in on the additions of strikers Danny Ward from Rotherham and Cauley Woodrow from Fulham.
