Benyu's Aldershot Loan Extended - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Kundai Benyu’s loan with Vanarama National League Aldershot Town has been extended into a second month.

Benyu's spell with the Shots was due to end on January 7th but the 19-year-old will now stay for at least another month.

The academy product has made three starts and two sub appearances for Aldershot and helped them to a derby double over local rivals Woking in his two National League starts.

The home game on Boxing Day ended in a 4-0 victory, while today’s away match finished 2-1 with the Shots netting the winner in injury time.

Meanwhile, Town are unlikely to have any new faces in their squad when they face QPR at Loftus Road on Monday.

The Blues are understood to be closing in on the signings of Rotherham’s Danny Ward and Fulham’s Cauley Woodrow, while we understand a third so-far-unidentified player is also being targeted.

But any additions are now more likely to come in ahead of the FA Cup tie against Lincoln City at Portman Road on Saturday.
