Town are reported to be one of a number of clubs to have had an offer for Wigan midfielder Max Power turned down by the Championship strugglers.
According to the Daily Mail the Blues, Brentford and Birmingham have all made unsuccessful approaches for the 23-year-old.
Birkenhead-born Power came through the youth system at Tranmere where he made more than 100 senior appearances before joining the Latics in the summer of 2015.
