Keeper Marsden Extends Leiston Loan - Ipswich Town News
Young Town keeper Jacob Marsden has extended his loan with Ryman League Premier Division Leiston to the end of the season.
The 20-year-old, who signed a one-year deal with an option for a further season with the Blues in the summer having come through the academy, joined Leiston in September and has made 21 appearances including today's 6-0 win at Burgess Hill Town.
Leiston manager Glenn Driver told his club’s official website: "I'm pleased to have signed Jacob till the end of the season. He will gain a lot more experience playing for us and I'm sure he will continue to improve as the games come thick and fast.
"Jacob at just 20 has played more football since joining us than he has in the last three years after he suffered a serious injury and his development was cut short.
"I'm pleased to have him on board and we look forward to watching his development as we enter the second half of the season. I would also like to thank Ipswich Town for allowing us to have Jacob till the end of the season."
Meanwhile, Town's U18s lost 2-0 away against Coventry City this morning, Kyle Finn scoring both goals for the Sky Blues.
