Town have confirmed that striker David McGoldrick’s hamstring injury should only keep him out of action for a couple of weeks. The Republic of Ireland international suffered the problem in training on Friday and missed the FA Cup draw with Lincoln City on Saturday.
"Didz will be out for the weekend and the cup replay [at Lincoln on Tuesday],” Manager Mick McCarthy told the club site.
"He had a scan yesterday and fortunately it’s not too bad. We are probably looking at another week or two.”
McCarthy says skipper Luke Chambers and midfielder Cole Skuse, who both missed the Imps clash with knee injuries, should be back for Saturday’s home game against Blackburn, but left-back Myles Kenlock remains a doubt with the calf injury he suffered at QPR.

"Hopefully Chambo and Skusey will be back for Saturday and we see how Myles is,” McCarthy added.
Meanwhile Tommy Smith and Luke Hyam, who are undergoing rehab after back and knee surgery respectively, are back out training, playing head tennis and running.
The duo are pencilled in for a return to action in the U23s in February, which was also the expectation with midfielder Teddy Bishop, who has been out with an ankle injury, however, McCarthy now hopes the 20-year-old might be back in a fortnight.
