Squad for Boro - Ipswich Town News

Darren Bent and Darren Ambrose are both included in Town's squad for Wednesday's hugely important game with Middlesbrough at Portman Road. Mark Venus (knee) and and Tommy Miller (foot) face fitness tests.

Venus is likely to play some part while Miller is thought to be very doubtful after picking up a foot injury in the Arsenal game.

Darren Bent picked up an Achilles injury while playing for the England U19s on Sunday but is responding to treatment.

Jim Magilton returns to the squad after missing out at Highbury due to his son being seriously ill.

Not included are Chris Makin (ankle), Matteo Sereni (thigh), Thomas Gaardsøe (ankle) and Ulrich Le Pen (foot). Le Pen has also pointed out that he is no relation to the right-wing French extremist Jean-Marie Le Pen.

Jermaine Wright will have his hernia operation today while Keith Branagan has his shoulder surgery tomorrow.

Squad: Andy Marshall, Mike Salmon, Fabian Wilnis, Titus Bramble, John McGreal, Mark Venus, Hermann Hreidarsson, Jamie Clapham, Matt Holland, Tommy Miller, Jim Magilton, Sixto Peralta, Finidi George, Martijn Reuser, Marcus Bent, Marcus Stewart, Alun Armstrong, Richard Naylor, Darren Bent and Darren Ambrose.
