Town are offering the 1,100 fans who made the trip to Lincoln for Tuesday’s FA Cup replay defeat free coach travel to the final game of the season at Nottingham Forest on Sunday 7th May.
Owner Marcus Evans made the decision to make the offer following the humiliating 1-0 defeat to the Vanarama National League leaders, the Blues’ first FA Cup loss to non-league opposition since Peterborough won 3-2 at Portman Road in January 1960, also at the third round stage.
"Everybody at the club is hurting, Mick, the players, the staff and, of course, our fantastic fans,” MD Ian Milne told the club site.
"We need the continued backing from the supporters, especially in difficult times and we appreciate the time and money they spend following the team. We hope that this gesture goes some way to showing that.
"Our season has been disappointing so far culminating in the defeat at Lincoln but there have been encouraging signs recently in the league and hopefully we can get back to winning ways at Huddersfield at the weekend. The fans can have a big part to play in that - as they always do.”
Full details of how travel vouchers for the visit to the City Ground can be redeemed will be announced in due course.
