U18s Game Off, U23s Face Liverpool - Ipswich Town News

Saturday’s U18s game at home to Crystal Palace has been postponed due to a frozen pitch at Playford Road, but the U23s are in action against Liverpool at Tranmere’s Prenton Park on Sunday in the Premier League Cup (KO 1pm).

It’s the second week running that the U18s have seen their fixture postponed with last Saturday’s match at Millwall also called off.

The U23s are currently bottom of their Premier League Cup group having won one and lost two of their three games so far.

Manager Mick McCarthy confirmed on Thursday that Teddy Bishop will play in the game having returned to training after his ankle injury.

The U23s, who are coached by Gerard Nash, were last in action on Monday at Cardiff when they were defeated 3-1, Albert Wilton scoring the Blues’ goal.
