Bishop Plays an Hour in U23s Defeat at Liverpool - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Teddy Bishop played the first hour as Town’s U23s were beaten 3-0 by their Liverpool counterparts in a Premier League Cup tie at Tranmere’s Prenton Park this afternoon.
Paulo Alves put the Reds in front on 19, Rhian Brewster added the second in the 28th minute and Ben Woodburn completed the scoring nine minutes from time.
Bishop, 20, is on the way back from the ankle injury which he suffered in training which has kept him out of action since the Cardiff game on December 10th.
Liverpool U23s: Grabara, Randall, Gomez, Matip (Williams 60), Moreno (Whelan 60), Stewart, Alves, Woodburn, Wilson, Ojo, Brewster (Virtue 76). Unused: Kelleher, Masterson.
Town U23s: Crowe, Woolfenden, Fowler (c), Robinson, Webber, Blanchfield, McDonnell, Bishop (Nydam 60), Patterson, Morris, McKendry (Folami 65). Unused: Hayes, McGavin, Ndaba.
